PROBLEM STATEMENT

RevenueBase relied on a manual, sales-driven process to sell datasets.
Every purchase required demos, calls, and custom dataset previews — making the experience slow, unclear, and difficult to scale.

They couldn’t independently evaluate coverage, compare datasets, or test whether the data actually fit their needs.
Even basic questions required involvement from internal teams.

This created a mismatch between how users expect modern products to work and how this product was actually experienced.

My Role as a Product Designer was:

  • Conducted stakeholder interviews

  • Defined information architecture

  • Designed core portal flows

  • Built a scalable design system and visual language

Data was delivered via Snowflake, AWS, Gigasheet
UX had to reflect real backend limitations

The challenge wasn’t just structure,
it was users' expectation mismatch. Most of them came in with a very specific mental model of how data works.
